Plot: A kidnapped 13-year-old boy is trapped in a soundproof basement by a serial killer known as the Grabber. A disconnected black telephone begins ringing, allowing him to hear from the killer's previous victims, who try to help him escape.

Marcela Notes: I was pleasantly surprised tbh, the scares are indeed much scarier than I was anticipating for a film that revolves around young kids. "Fuck them kids" - The Black Phone. Ethan Hawke shirtless in his murder mask did something unfortunate to my body smh Marcela. Madeleine McGraw is phenomenal put that girl in more horror movies stat! 

Fun Fact: Ethan Hawke would check on Mason Thames after every scene they filmed together and give him a noogie to make sure the kid knew everything was okay.
