Plot: True-crime writer Ellison Oswalt discovers a box of disturbing home movies showing the murders of several families. He moves his own family into the house where one murder occurred and begins investigating, unaware that the footage has consequences for anyone who watches it.

Marcela Notes: Dude I'm always so surprised by how good this is every rewatch! That cold open is soooo scary to me! TBH this is what happens when you marry a man- he decides to put the whole family in peril in a murder house smh. 

Fun Fact: Ethan Hawke had never seen the Super 8 murder films before filming his reactions to them. His genuine reactions were recorded and used in the final movie.
