Plot: After being left for dead in the desert by the men who assaulted her, Jen survives and returns with a bloody, relentless mission for revenge.

Marcela Notes: I really disliked this the first time around for several reasons- it was the year of Fantastic Fest where shit hit the fan and women attendees kept being asked by dudes what we thought on it and *all* of us were like dude we're literally just trying to watch movies. Also in the middle of the screening, the alarm went off and the lights came on for a few minutes and then eventually they started playing the movie again and everyone was like "?" So yeah I was in a bad mood with men and this movie did NOT help with an unnecessarily drawn out assault scene. Its grown on me since and despite the fact that actually one single event that happens to Jen would have without a doubt killed her, its still fun to watch her hunt men. And definitely brings a whole new meaning to "accesory" to murder (I see you, cute pink star earrings). 

Fun Fact: Fargeat deliberately used exaggerated color, production design and gore to turn the traditionally male-dominated rape-revenge genre toward a female point of view.
