Marcela Notes: I was down bad for this movie when it came out- banger soundtrack on repeat to this day, and have had two great Halloween costumes inspired by Jesse. Still one of my faves despite hating it initially for how insanely pretentious and silly it is. My senses were in Heaven experiencing this- every shot is jaw-droppingly gorgeous, the soundtrack is an auditory delight, so much glitter and pretty lights, and BLOOD! An eye-popping film, for certain~*

Fun Fact: Nicolas Winding Refn is color blind and has said he can primarily perceive contrast and primary colors, despite making one of the most aggressively colorful movies ever!
