Plot: Two couples searching for a roadside attraction encounter the bizarre Firefly family and end up trapped in their isolated home, where their road trip turns into a nightmarish descent into torture, murder, and depravity.

Marcela Notes: I don't love it but I do like a lot of things about it. It just makes me feel bad and icky its so crusty and sad to me other than the amazing part with the mermaid man. IMO one of the few Rob Zombie films to actually watch. Lots of great Halloween costume ideas for sure. It reminds me of a lot of horror movies, you can tell its inspired by some classics and was made by a lover of film, it just falls short in a way I can't seem to put my finger on. 

Fun Fact: Some of the movie's strangest cutaway footage was literally filmed in Rob Zombie's basement after production had already wrapped. Zombie would invite cast members over on weekends and shoot additional footage himself with a 16mm handheld camera.
