Plot: Riley, a recovering addict, discovers an ancient puzzle box that summons the Cenobites, extradimensional beings who demand increasingly horrific sacrifices. When her brother disappears, Riley becomes trapped in a supernatural bargain that forces her to uncover the box's secrets.

Marcela Notes: I've never cared much for the Hellraiser movies, but this one changed my mind. I liked Odessa A'zion before she became racially ambiguous and slightly problematic for it. I think this was my first time seeing her on screen and I thought she was a great horror actress. Love to see feminine cenobytes and their strange fleshy fashions. 

Fun Fact: The six configurations of the Lament Configuration represent six different gifts: Lament (“life”), Lore (“knowledge”), Lauderant (“love”), Liminal (“sensation”), Lazarus (“resurrection”) and Leviathan (“power”).
