Plot: In May 2020, a confrontation between the sheriff and mayor of the small town of Eddington, New Mexico, ignites tensions among the townspeople. As pandemic paranoia, political division, conspiracy theories, and personal grudges collide, the town descends into chaos.

Marcela Notes: I miss when Ari Aster made horror movies instead of political ones. I'm not sure if I'll ever rewatch this one mostly because I was bored watching a bunch of men being men, however, Joaquin Phoenix is absolutely a delight playing a complete and total moron! 

Fun Fact: Ari Aster wrote, directed, and produced the movie himself, and Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, and Aster had previously worked together on Beau Is Afraid.
