Plot: Two sadistic serial killers document their murders and increasingly depraved acts with a handheld camera. Shot like a genuine piece of found footage, the film deliberately blurs the line between fictional horror and something that looks disturbingly real.

Marcela Notes: I watched this when I was 21 and have promptly forced myself to forget it since then. Perhaps one day I will rewatch. 

Fun Fact: Fred Vogel was actually arrested at the Canadian border while traveling to a Toronto film festival after customs officials found copies of August Underground and its sequel among his merchandise. He spent roughly 10 hours in a customs prison before the charges were dropped.
